Dr. Jonathan Johnson

Dr. JJ was born in Davenport, Iowa; the same place Chiropractic was first discovered. While attending St. Ambrose, Dr. JJ found his health struggles adding up. He was nearly 400 pounds, suffered from insomnia, and struggled with his asthma since childhood. After many failed attempts and closed doors from traditional medicine, Dr. JJ turned to chiropractic and finally had success. “I started to lose weight, sleeping through the night, and could finally start to exercise because I had less pain and overall better function. Not to mention I could actually breathe, after a few months of care I no longer needed my inhaler. Thanks to chiropractic haven’t used it in nearly 6 years.” Through gentle and specific chiropractic he was empowered and knew that he wanted others to find empowerment of their health.

Dr. JJ continued on to complete his degree with Palmer College of Chiropractic. During his time at Palmer, Dr. JJ dedicated countless hours of out of class time to being certified in techniques that concentrate on the upper cervical complex.

During his time in practice and shortly after the birth of his daughter, Marē, Dr. JJ realized his passion for working with pediatrics. Knowing how big of a difference it has made for his daughter he wanted more parents to gain this same empowerment that chiropractic brought him. “Not only has it helped me as an individual but it has helped me as a father and husband. Helping keep my daughter and wife healthy without the need for drugs or other more invasive options was very important to our family. I want other parents to know that there are natural options to help you as a parent. In short Chiropractic will empower you as an individual and as a parent.”

When Dr. JJ isn’t at the office you’re likely to see him out on the beach enjoying time in the wild with his family, Dr. Kelly and his daughter, Marē.
