Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month: Finding Hope and Healing in Community

The Doctors at Pinnacle Chiropractic and local certified Birth and Bereavement Doula, Allie Demes team up to bring hope to grieving parents during Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month.

Every October, families across the world pause to honor Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month. It’s a month dedicated to remembering babies gone too soon, and to supporting the moms and dads who carry this deep grief.

Statistics remind us how common this loss is: 1 in 4 women will experience pregnancy or infant loss. But statistics don’t capture the heartbreak of parents who often feel alone, unseen, or misunderstood.

At Pinnacle Chiropractic, we believe every story matters. Every baby’s life, no matter how short, matters. And no parent should walk through this season of grief alone.

Breaking the Silence

One of the most difficult parts of pregnancy and infant loss is the silence that surrounds it. Many parents feel pressure to “move on” or keep their grief to themselves, but the truth is:

  • Grief is real.

  • Grief is valid.

  • Grief deserves to be acknowledged.

By creating safe spaces for families to share, remember, and connect, we can begin to break that silence.

Finding Support in Community

This month, we are honored to partner with Allie Demes, a certified Birth and Bereavement Doula who has walked through infant loss herself. Allie provides gentle, compassionate support for moms who are grieving, offering resources and guidance that help them navigate one of the hardest chapters of life.

Whether it’s through trusted providers like Allie, support groups, or simply having a community that listens, connection can bring comfort and healing in times of loss.

Hope and Healing for Families

While no amount of care can erase grief, we’ve witnessed how love, compassion, and nervous system support can help parents begin to heal. Grief impacts not only the heart but also the body, often leaving parents in a state of deep stress and exhaustion.

Nervous system-based chiropractic care can help bring the body out of constant fight-or-flight mode, creating space for rest, restoration, and resilience. When combined with emotional and community support, families can begin to find hope again.

You Are Not Alone

If you have walked through pregnancy or infant loss, know this: your story matters. Your baby matters. You are not alone.

This October, we stand with families in our community who carry this grief. Together, we can honor the lives of babies gone too soon and bring hope to parents who need it most.
